Hanover Home Game

Undefeated, number one seed Hanover beat the John Stark Generals 76-46 last Friday night. The Generals started off strong in the first period, with Anna Stenger starting the game off with a 2 and 3 pointer for Stark. They kept up with Hanover's speed, and were only down 8-11 at the end of the first. After the first period Hanover dominated the game, scoring double what the Generals scored in the second with a 29-17 lead at the end of the first half. Hanover had a very strong second half, scoring 26 points in the third and 21 points in the fourth quarter. The Generals couldn't catch up, scoring only 9 points in the final quarter of the game. Chelsea Woodsum 14 points, and Anna Stenger 12 points, 6 rebounds were the Generals top scorers. Brady Johnson had 7 points, 3 assists and was the top rebounder with 8 out of the Generals 24 total rebounds. Brooke Patnode 5 points, 3 steals and Lilli Stogner 4 points, 5 rebounds also helped out the Generals. Stark ended the game with 24 turnovers and 24 rebounds. Hanover had a very good game with 8 different players contributing to their final score. Maddie McCorkle, 19 points and Bella Baradales 14 points, and Stella Galaries 13 points were Hanover's top scorers. Hanover was strong on the boards, grabbing many rebounds throughout the game. They were very fast up and down the court and had very good, clean passing. Hanover controlled the tempo of the game and dominated in three out of the four quarters. The Generals did their best to keep up with them but Hanover remains undefeated. The Generals take on Conval again tomorrow away at 6:30pm.
