away game 01/13/2020
Lebanon defeated the Generals this past Tuesday night 60-18, breaking the Generals 6 game winning streak. Lebanon has a strong team with a lot of height that came out strong and controlled the tempo of the game for all 4 quarters. Lebanon scored 20 points in the first quarter, holding the Generals to 6 points. John Stark worked hard to get some baskets up but didn't score more than 5 points a period for the rest of the game. At the end of the first half Lebanon was up 33-11. Stark really hustled in the second half but were still unable to catch up. The clock was running in the 4th quarter with the Generals down more than 40 points. Chelsea Woodsum was Starks top scorer with 8 points. Lilli Stogner and Anna Stenger were both able to put up 4 points and Kacie Weston added 2 points to Starks final score. The Generals passing was off with the intense pressure Lebanons defense had, and this led to Starks record high number of turnovers at 28. Lebanons height gave them an advantage in rebounding and Stark was only able to grab a total of 19 rebounds. Lebanon had 9 different players score for them but their top scorer was #23 Wright with 21 points. #25 Rainey, 9 points and #10 Cole, 7 points were the other top scorers for Lebanon. Lebanon had an overall good game playing strong offensively and defensively. Stark does not play Lebanon again in the regular season, but is taking on Laconia away this Friday night the 17th.
