Merrimack Valley Home Game

The Generals had a great senior night game this past Tuesday night against Merrimack Valley and won 59-46. This was a very big win for the Generals, the score was close the whole game and it was overall a very aggressive game. Stark was up 18-11 at the end of the first and up 30-24 at half time. Anna Stenger came out strong in the third quarter, grabbing and scoring off of two steals in the beginning of the period. Merrimack valley out scored the Generals 13-16 in the third but were still behind 45-40 at the end of the third. Merrimack had a tough fourth quarter, only scoring 6 points which forced them to start fouling in the last few minutes of the game. The Generals were able to score off of their foul shots in the fourth and scored a total of 16 points in the period. Chelsea Woodsum, 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks and Anna Stenger, 15 points, 3 steals and 1 assist were the top scorers for Stark. Chelsea Woodsum is also only 5 points away from scoring 1,000 points! Brady Johnson also had a good game, scoring 10 points for the Generals, with 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 5 assists. Brooke Patnode scored 9 points, Lilli Stogner scored 8 points with 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist and 1 block, Kacie Weston also scored 2 points. The Generals had 12 turnovers and a total of 28 rebounds. Merrimack Valley's top scorers were M. Gordon with 16 points and A. Woodmen with 10 points. Six other players also scored for Merrimack Valley. The Generals take on Kingswood away at 6:00pm tonight!
