The Generals had another win against Pembroke this past Tuesday night 56-32. Stark also beat Pembroke in a close game the NHTI Holiday tournament by 6 points. Stark had a strong press that they were able to score many layups off of. Pembroke struggled to break the press. At the end of the first half Stark was up 29-12 with Pembroke only scoring one basket in the second quarter. The Generals continued to outscore Pembroke in the second half of the game to get the win by 24 points. Chelsea Woodsum, 16 points, Anna Stenger, 15 points and Lilli Stogner, 8 points were the top scorers for Stark. Brady Johnson scored 5 points for the Generals and had 4 steals. Brooke Patnode scored 4 points, Kacie Weston 2 points, Alana Sevigny 1 points and Kathryn Reph had a 3 pointer in the fourth quarter. Stark got 39 of the rebounds in the game, Lilli Stogner being their top rebounder with 9 total rebounds. The Generals were also able to get a lot of steals off their press, they had 16 total steals and only 14 turnovers. Pembroke struggled in the first half of the game only scoring 12 points. They had a better second half, more than doubling their score to 32 points by the end of the game. Pembroke had 9 different players score for them. Their top scorer was Ashley Stephens. They had three players each score 4 points and the rest of the scorers has 2 or 3 points. John Stark will play Souhegan this Friday night at 6:00pm.
